IsItHealthy Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) outlines how we collect, use, and protect your information when you interact with our app. By using IsItHealthy, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

This Policy applies solely to users of the IsItHealthy app and associated services. It provides transparency about what data is processed, how it is handled, and your rights regarding that data. This app is not currently offered in the European Union.

1. Categories of Information We Collect

• Scanned Product Data:
  • Images of nutrition labels for processing.
  • These images are uploaded temporarily to our servers for processing but are not stored or linked to individual users.
• Log Data:
  • When you access the Service through a mobile device, we may collect certain information automatically, including but not limited to:
    • The type of mobile device you use.
    • Your mobile device's unique ID.
    • The IP address of your mobile device.
    • Your mobile operating system.
    • The type of mobile Internet browser you use.
    • Other app usage statistics.

    This log data (“Log Data”) is stored temporarily for up to 1 hour and is used solely for debugging and improving the app's functionality. After this time, the data is automatically discarded.

• Data Collected by Third-Party Services:
  • Google AdMob: AdMob may collect data for personalized and non-personalized advertising, including device identifiers, device information, and app interactions. Additional details:
    • IP address, which may be used to estimate the general location of a device.
    • Non-user related crash logs, which may be used to diagnose problems and improve the SDK. Diagnostic information may also be used for advertising and analytics purposes.
    • User-associated performance data such as app launch time, hang rate, or energy usage, which may be used to evaluate user behavior, understand the effectiveness of existing product features, and plan new features. Performance data may also be used for displaying ads, including sharing with other entities that display ads.
    • A Device ID, such as the device's advertising identifier or other app- or developer-bounded device identifiers, which may be used for third-party advertising and analytics.
    • Advertising data, such as advertisements the user has seen, may be used to power analytics and advertising features.
    • Other user product interactions like app launch taps, and interaction information, like video views, may be used to improve advertising performance.
• Personal Data: We do not store or collect any personal information such as name, email address, or location.

2. Google Services

• Google AdMob: Used for in-app advertising. For more information about how AdMob collects and processes data, see the AdMob Privacy Policy.
• Google AdWords Remarketing: This service is provided by Google Inc.
  • You can opt out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads by visiting the Google Ads Settings page.
  • Google also recommends installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, which provides users the ability to prevent their data from being collected and used by Google Analytics.

3. Retention of Data

Scanned data and log data are not retained beyond the time required for processing. Log data is stored for a maximum of 1 hour for debugging purposes and is then discarded.

4. Children’s Privacy

The app is not intended for children under the age of 13.

5. Your Privacy Rights

While we do not currently collect personal data, AdMob and other Google services may collect information as described above. Users can exercise their rights by visiting the opt-out resources linked above.

6. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices. Updates will be communicated via in-app notifications. Please review the updated policy before continuing to use the app.
